Menu creator for restaurants
TL;DRMenu creator work for a restaurant is one list of dishes, typed or imported, that becomes the phone menu, the paper menu and a page for each dish. You can start from a PDF, a photo, a spreadsheet or the page where the menu lives today. Preview on a phone is free. Publishing is $29 a month or $199 a year per venue.
What you put into the creator
Create an account and start from a design, or import the menu you already hand out. A PDF can be up to 20 MB. One import builds a draft of up to 150 items. Read every name and every price. Allergen marks are yours to set. The draft is not public until you publish it. A sold-out dish is a mark, including from a staff PIN that cannot see prices. The printed code stays put.
What comes out of it
The QR code menu opens in the phone's browser. There is no app to install. Each dish has its own address, with the name and the price as text. A search engine can read that page. Nobody can promise where it will rank, or that an assistant will recommend the restaurant.
The paper side is a menu to print: A4, A5, US Letter, a table tent, a counter card or a window poster. The price sits in its own column. You can leave the code, the logo, photos, descriptions and the allergen note off a sheet that should not have them.
What you pay, and what you do not
Building and previewing are free, and no card is needed. There is no trial, because the preview is how you decide. You pay when you publish: $29 a month or $199 a year, $149 less than twelve months at the monthly price. No setup fee and no charge per scan.
A code from the QR code generator is free and does not host a menu. The product page is the menu maker. The same product, named as a digital menu, is the digital menu maker.
It will not take an order or a guest payment, and it will not build a marketing site or sign in to Google. You paste the address into the menu link. Translation is not automatic. You write or paste any of 62 content languages. The menu opens in its own language, and a guest picks another.
