QR Code Menu Price: What Restaurants Pay
TL;DRA QR code menu does not have one price. A code for a link you already have can cost nothing. A hosted menu you can edit without a new code is a subscription. A system that also takes orders is another subscription. This page separates them.
DigitalMenuKit is $29 a month or $199 a year per venue, with the same features on both. You can build and preview free. You pay when you publish. There is no per-scan fee and no setup fee. The other prices below are competitor figures reported in 2026. Confirm them before you buy.
Four ways restaurants pay
First, a free QR code. The QR code generator on this site makes a PNG or SVG for any link, with no account. The code holds the link itself, so it does not expire. It does not host a menu, count scans, or update a price. If the link is a PDF, a new price means a new file.
Second, a free preview of a hosted menu. You can type the dishes, import a PDF, choose a design and read it on a phone before you pay. The preview is not public. It is not on a menu address, and it is not in the sitemap. There is no trial period and no card until you publish.
Third, a published menu. That is $29 a month, or $199 a year, which is $149 less than twelve monthly payments. One venue, every menu that venue serves, from breakfast to the wine list, and every language you add. Cancel in the panel. The menu stays up until the period you paid for ends.
Fourth, an operations platform. MENU TIGER's 2026 prices were a free plan limited to about 75 orders, then $17, $46 and $119 a month. Menubly's were a free plan and Pro at $9.99 a month or $95.99 a year, with ordering. Popmenu's were reported at $179, $299 and $499 a month. Popmenu does not publish a price list. Those products take orders. This one does not.
What the DigitalMenuKit price includes
The paid plan is the public menu: a QR code menu guests open in the browser, a page for each dish, print-ready PDFs, and 62 content languages. You write the translations. They are not generated for you.
Allergen marks live on the dish. Staff can mark a dish sold out from a phone, with a PIN that cannot change prices. Menus can follow a schedule in the restaurant's own time zone. A price change does not need a new QR code. It needs a publish, and a new PDF only if you also hand out paper. The formats are on printable menus.
The Google part is a link. After you publish, you paste the menu address into Google Business Profile. We do not sign in to Google, and we do not type dishes into Google's menu editor. Indexing takes days to weeks. A place in the results is not included in $29, because nobody can sell that.
What people assume is included
Online ordering is not included. Guest payments are not included. A full restaurant website is not included. You can put the menu on a domain you own, and you can link to it from a site you already run. That is the whole of the hosting.
Visits to a published menu show in the panel. A code from the free generator does not.
Food cost is a different sum. What to charge for a dish starts from the plate, not from the software invoice. The food cost calculator does that arithmetic in the browser. It does not set a price on your menu.
How to compare a quote
Ask four questions of any quote. Is the published menu free, or only the draft? Does a price change need a new code or a new PDF? Does the plan add a fee per order or per scan? Are languages, breakfast and dinner, and the print file inside the number on the page?
Then match the quote to the job. Ordering and a POS: look at MENU TIGER's tiers. A mini site and ordering at a lower published price: look at Menubly. A marketing platform: look at the reported Popmenu range and decide if you need it. A menu that phone, paper and a Google link can share: the price is $29 or $199. The write-ups are the MENU TIGER, Menubly and Popmenu pages.
When the number is acceptable, create the menu and preview it with your dishes before you publish. The draft costs nothing. The public menu is the plan.
