Menubly Alternative for a QR Menu You Can Keep Current

By Tuğberk Can ÖzenPublished 5 November 20264 min read

TL;DRMenubly publishes a free plan and a Pro plan at $9.99 a month, or $95.99 a year, for a mini site, a QR menu and ordering. DigitalMenuKit is $29 a month or $199 a year per venue, and it does not take orders. On price alone, Menubly wins. This page says what that price does not include, and what you are paying $29 for.

Use the table, then the two sections on who should pick which. The Menubly figures are the ones published in 2026. Confirm them on the current plan before you decide. We are not a cheaper Menubly.

DigitalMenuKit vs Menubly

DigitalMenuKit compared with Menubly. Competitor figures are as reported in 2026, not a live price feed.

Google menu linkThe published menu has its own address, and each dish has a page. You paste that menu address into Google Business Profile. DigitalMenuKit does not sign in to Google and does not fill Google's menu editor. Not stated in the prices we checked.
Print PDFYes. Print-ready PDFs come from the same menu, on the paid plan. You can preview the templates without paying. Downloading your own PDF is part of the paid plan. Not stated in the prices we checked.
Languages62 content languages, included in the plan. You write or paste each translation and check it. Translation is not automatic. Not stated in the prices we checked.

Nine dollars and ninety-nine cents is less than $29. A free plan is less than both. If your requirement is a QR menu plus ordering at the lowest published price, Menubly is the straightforward choice and this page should not talk you out of it.

Where Menubly is the better fit

Choose Menubly if you want ordering on the QR menu, if you want a mini site in the same product, or if you need a free published plan to start. DigitalMenuKit does none of those three. A guest of a DigitalMenuKit menu reads the dishes and orders with your staff.

Choose Menubly if $29 is more than the menu is worth to the business this year. A tool you will not keep paying for does not help, however carefully it prints.

What the higher price is for

DigitalMenuKit spends the subscription on one menu used three ways. The phone menu, the print PDF and the page for each dish are the same dishes and the same prices. You do not keep a design file, a PDF and a link in three tools.

The Google piece is a link you paste, not a sync. Add the menu to Google Business Profile after you publish. We do not write into Google's menu editor, and we do not promise where you rank. What the page gives a search engine is text, one address per dish, and structured data.

62 content languages are included. You write them. Allergen marks are on the dish, not in a footnote you forget to update. A sold-out mark can be set from a staff PIN. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can switch on a schedule in the restaurant's time zone.

A practical way to decide

Open both products with your real menu, not a sample. On our side, create an account, import the PDF or type the dishes, and preview on a phone. That preview is free. Publishing is the paid step, and there is no trial clock on the draft.

If the preview is missing ordering you actually need, Menubly or another ordering product is the better buy. If the preview is the menu you wanted, the rest of the decision is the price and whether you also want paper from the same file. The wider price picture is what a QR code menu costs.

Frequently asked questions

Why is DigitalMenuKit more than $9.99?

You are not buying the same list of jobs. Menubly's published Pro plan includes ordering and a mini site. DigitalMenuKit does not. It includes the QR menu, print PDFs, a page per dish and 62 languages on one plan.

Is there a free DigitalMenuKit plan?

There is no free published menu. Building and previewing are free. The QR code generator is free and only makes a code for a link you already have.

Do these Menubly prices include tax or a contract?

We only know the figures published in 2026: free, and Pro at $9.99 a month or $95.99 a year. Confirm the current plan with Menubly.
