Menu to print for a restaurant

By Tuğberk Can ÖzenPublished 5 November 20262 min read

TL;DRMenu to print, for a restaurant, is a PDF of the same dishes guests open on the phone. Change a price once, publish, and download a new file when the paper should match. The layouts cover A4, A5 and US Letter, a folding table tent, a counter card and a window poster. Browsing the templates is free. Downloading a PDF of your own menu is part of the paid plan.

What the sheet looks like

The price owns its column, on the dish's first line, right aligned. A long name wraps. A description does not run under the price. In more than one column, a section rule meets the rule beside it. Those rules are how the paper is built, not a style you have to fix by hand.

You choose the rest. The allergen note, page numbers, logo, descriptions, photos and the QR code can each be left off. Words on the sheet come from the menu's own language, not from the language of the editor. The files are vector PDFs with the fonts embedded, so a print shop can run them at any size.

Paper and phone stay one menu

A menu you retype into a design tool becomes a second menu the moment a special sells out. Here the printable menus page and the QR code menu read the same list. The code already on the table still points at the current menu. You reprint only the sheets you still hand to guests. Restaurant menu templates is the longer walk through the layouts.

What is free, and what the PDF costs

Looking at templates and previewing your own menu on a phone is free. No card. There is no free download of your own menu, and no trial period. Publishing, which includes the PDF, is $29 a month or $199 a year per venue. The yearly price is $149 less than twelve months at the monthly price. No setup fee and no charge per scan.

A printable QR code generator is a different job: a code for a link you already have, with no menu behind it. Use that when you only need a code. Use this page when the sheet and the phone should list the same dishes. The longer note on paper plus a code is a printable restaurant menu with a QR code.
